In the year of Bergamo and Brescia as Italian Capital of Culture, five historic residences belonging to the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane \u2013 ADSI<\/strong><\/a> will open to the public giving life to the Festival \u201cDimore, Musica, Arte: itinerari per la scoperta di tesori nascosti del territorio\u201d<\/strong>. Five appointments in which it will be possible to visit and discover the beauties of small towns to promote proximity tourism even outside the main centers of the two large capital cities.
The various appointments will include visits, tastings or workshops in private historic homes and a short concert by a young professional string quartet selected from participants in the international network of \u201cLe Dimore del Quartetto\u201d<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
Musicians and musical programs have been selected by the artistic director Simone Gramaglia<\/strong> and provide for the performance of a classical or romantic repertoire of about forty minutes which will be briefly introduced by the musicians<\/p>\n
The itinerary follows a route from west to east, from the province of Bergamo to that of Brescia.
It starts from Almenno San Salvatore, at the beginning of the Val Imagna, with Villa Vitalba Lurani Cernuschi<\/strong> and the adjoining Convent of San Nicola surrounded by the vines of Valcalepio; Villa Pesenti Agliardi<\/strong>, not far away, is located at the foot of the Bergamo hills and offers a special visit to the historic garden. Entering the lower Bergamo plain we come across the Castle of Lurano<\/strong>, formerly a defensive bulwark on the “Fosso Bergamasco”, the border between the Venetian republic and the State of Milan, which appears as a set of articulated bodies in the center of the town, with its noble chapel. The route continues towards Scanzorosciate, a hilly area between Val Seriana and Val Cavallina, where Villa Pagnoncelli Folcieri<\/strong> is located. Here it will be possible to taste a real rarity such as Moscato di Scanzo, an ancient wine of which we have news since 1300.
