Associazione Giovanni Secco Suardo, with the support of the Directorate-General for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes of the Ministry of Culture, is pleased to announce the publication of the “Clauco Benito Tiozzo. Il restauratore del Brenta” by Alessandro Biella.
This new publication is part of the broader context of the ASRI project – National Historical Archive of Italian Restorers, created with the aim of documenting, promoting and making accessible the professional histories of the leading figures in restoration in Italy.
The volume pays tribute to Clauco Benito Tiozzo, a restorer whose personal archive, together with that of his son and fellow restorer Vanni Tiozzo, was generously donated to Associazione Giovanni Secco Suardo in October 2017.
Starting from this donation, a thorough and detailed study, organisation and inventory of the archive collection was undertaken, which led to the production of a thesis and the subsequent publication of the book.
