In line with the objectives of the program “Next Generation EU – PNRR – Digital Transition Cultural and Creative Organizations”, and following the funding obtained from the European Union, Associazione Giovanni Secco Suardo has initiated a process aimed at digitising and enhancing the archival heritage preserved in the National Historical Archive and Database of Italian Restorers (ASRI).

Materials from already inventoried archives were identified and selected for digitisation.
In particular, the activity concerned, in its first phase, the digitization of handwritten and typed documentation, as well as photographic, related to restoration work carried out by the restorer Giuseppe Arrigoni (Bergamo, 1915 – Bergamo, 2006).

The project has led to the structuring of a permanent laboratory for digitization, the valorization of historical funds fundamental for the history of Italian restoration and the creation of a system for the use and accessibility of content.
