Aware of the importance of creating effective tools for a better digital use of cultural heritage, both through the sharing of information, data and news on historical restorations, and from the point of view of a more effective conservation and valorisation of the archival funds of ASRI, the Associazione Giovanni Secco Suardo, beneficiary of a non-repayable contribution for investments and working capital under the PNRR TOCC – Digital Transition Cultural and Creative Organisms, it has started a progressive process of document digitization.
The program involves the creation of a highly specialized laboratory dedicated to the digitization of ASRI’s documentary heritage. in this way, not only will a safer and more long-lasting conservation of materials be guaranteed, reducing the risk of physical deterioration, but access and use of resources by a wider audience will also be facilitated. Through digitalisation, we intend to significantly increase the diffusion and dissemination of preserved cultural heritage, making these historical treasures accessible and thus promoting greater awareness and appreciation of cultural value.
