Music, history, and beauty at Lurano Castle
Lurano Castle is pleased to host a new event featuring great chamber music on Saturday, June 27, 2026, as part of the initiatives promoted by Le Dimore del Quartetto, the international project that brings together young musical excellences and historic homes of particular cultural value.
The evening will feature the Quartetto Alla Maniera Italiana, a Como-based ensemble specializing in the performance of 18th- and 19th-century chamber music repertoire according to historically informed criteria. Composed of Giacomo Coletti and Stefano Raccagni on violins, Alessia Menin on viola, and Anna Camporini on cello, the quartet uses copies of period instruments and works directly on autographed scores and first editions, with the aim of restoring the sound and original spirit of the works performed to the public.
Born from a shared passion for the music of Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven, the Alla Maniera Italiana Quartet also pays particular attention to the rediscovery of lesser-known composers and unpublished or recently rediscovered repertoires. In 2025 he was awarded the recognition of “Ensemble of the Year” promoted by the Morosini Fund for Culture and Music and by Le Dimore del Quartetto.
Their presence at Lurano Castle will offer audiences an immersive experience where musical heritage and historical-architectural heritage meet, transforming the concert into an opportunity for discovery, listening, and sharing. In this context, the Castle confirms its vocation to be not only the guardian of a centuries-old history, but also a living place of cultural production and dissemination, in continuity with the activities promoted by the Associazione Giovanni Secco Suardo.
